Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

  • No account with us
  • No server of ours
  • Progress stays on your device
  • Ads only when you ask for one
  • Nothing for sale inside TikTok

XXOO ("the game") is published by QUOKKA AI PTY LTD ("we", "us"), a company registered in New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains what the game does with information, and it is written to be specific rather than broad: everything listed below is something the game actually does.

The short version

XXOO has no accounts, no login, and no server of ours. Your progress lives on your device and is never sent to us. The one thing that does leave your device is advertising traffic, and only if you choose to watch an ad or have not bought the ad removal.

What is stored on your device

The game saves a small amount of data in your device's local storage. It never leaves the device except as part of a backup you make yourself (for example an iCloud or iTunes backup, which is under your control, not ours).

WhatWhy
Which level you are on, and how many levels you have unlockedSo the game resumes where you left off
Your daily tool allowance and any uses earned from adsSo counts are correct across sessions
Whether you have bought the ad removalSo the game does not show ads you have paid to remove
Sound and haptics on or offYour settings
Dark mode on or offYour settings
Your chosen languageYour settings

Deleting the game deletes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, because we never had a copy.

Advertising

The game shows one kind of advertising: a rewarded video you choose to watch, in exchange for more uses of a tool. There are no banners, no ads between levels, and no ads that appear without you asking. If you never run out of tools, you will never see one. Buying the ad removal stops them entirely.

Advertising is provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may receive and process:

  • device identifiers, including Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) if you have allowed tracking
  • your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it
  • information about your device, such as model and operating system version
  • information about your interaction with the ad

We do not receive any of this in a form that identifies you. What we see is aggregate reporting: how many ads were shown, and what they earned.

Google's handling of this data is governed by their own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses data from apps that use its services is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are playing inside TikTok

XXOO is also published as a TikTok mini game, which runs inside the TikTok app rather than as an app of its own. Everything above about progress staying on your device still holds. What is different there is worth setting out in full, because almost none of the Apple-specific machinery above exists in that version:

  • The advertising is TikTok's, not Google's. The rewarded video is requested from TikTok's own ad network. No Google AdMob SDK is present, no Apple advertising identifier is read, and the tracking prompt and the consent form described below are not shown — they are iOS features and there is nothing in that version to ask about. TikTok's handling of advertising data is governed by TikTok's own privacy policy, which applies to you as a TikTok user.
  • There is nothing to buy. The ad removal is not sold in the TikTok version, so no payment of any kind passes through it.
  • Signing in. TikTok requires a mini game to sign its players in, so the game asks TikTok to do so when it opens. TikTok hands back a one-time code. We do not send that code anywhere, store it, or exchange it for your identity — we have no server to exchange it with. We do not learn your TikTok username, your profile, or anything else about you.
  • The two rewards. Adding the game to your home screen or to your TikTok profile earns tool uses. The game asks TikTok whether you have done so and is told yes or no; nothing about who you are comes back with that answer.
  • Where your progress lives. It is still on your device, in the storage TikTok gives the mini game. Removing the mini game from TikTok removes it, and we never had a copy.

Your choices about advertising

The two sections below describe the App Store version. Neither applies inside TikTok — see above.

Tracking (iOS). Shortly after the game first opens, iOS asks whether XXOO may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. Choosing "Ask App Not to Track" means the advertising identifier is not used. Ads still work; they are simply less targeted. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland). If you are in one of these regions, the game shows a consent form before any ad is requested, and no ad is requested until you have answered it. If you do not consent to personalised advertising there, the game respects that answer: iOS is not asked about tracking at all, and the advertising identifier is not used. You can reopen that form and change your answer from the game's settings; if you then consent, iOS asks about tracking at that point.

Buying the ad removal stops advertising requests altogether.

Purchases

App Store version only; nothing is sold inside TikTok.

The ad removal is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Payment details go to Apple and never to us — we never see your card, your Apple Account, or your billing address. What we receive from Apple is confirmation that a purchase belonging to your Apple Account exists, which is what makes "Restore Purchases" work on a new device.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: https://support.apple.com/billing.

Children

XXOO is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, write to [email protected] and we will act on it.

Legal bases, if you are in the EEA or the UK

  • Storing your progress and settings is necessary to provide the game you asked for.
  • Personalised advertising happens only with your consent, given through the consent form described above, and can be withdrawn there at any time.
  • Non-personalised advertising and basic fraud prevention rest on our legitimate interest in running the game sustainably.

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we hold no account and no copy of your data, the practical route for most of these is your device: delete the game, or change the choices above. For anything else, write to us.

If you are in Australia

This policy is written to the standard of the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you think we have mishandled your personal information, write to [email protected] first — we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au.

If you are in the United States

Depending on your state you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Where the law requires it, the game offers an opt-out through the same privacy controls described above; you can also write to [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the game before they take effect.
